About Re-bin

A recycling loop you can actually follow.

Re-bin connects people who sort their waste at home with the collection partners and makers who turn that material into something worth keeping. Everything happens in one account: you book a pickup or walk to a drop-off point, watch what you handed over get checked, earn points by weight, and spend them on upcycled pieces made a few kilometres away.

Collections you can book

A doorstep pickup or a community drop-off point within walking distance, with the materials and weight recorded before anything is promised.

Three checks, no shortcuts

A photo review, the physical collection, and a final inspection at the centre. Points are only awarded once the material has actually arrived.

Pi that goes back out

Earned Pi covers part of any upcycled piece. We hold your card payment and Pi, and release them to the maker only after the parcel is checked.

What Re-bin does

Recycling is only satisfying when you can see where it goes. Re-bin gives you three things in one place: real collection options near you, a verification trail on everything you hand over, and a points balance that reflects the weight you actually rescued, not the weight you estimated.

The marketplace works the same way. Every listing is reviewed before it goes live and shows which rescued materials it is made from. When you buy, we hold your Pi and card payment until the parcel arrives and is physically checked. Only then is the maker paid. Nothing here is sold as “recycled” on trust alone.

Who it is for

  • Households with paper, plastic, glass, metal, textiles or e-waste to clear, who want it collected and accounted for instead of dumped.
  • Makers and upcyclers who work with rescued material and need a reviewed shopfront, payment held fairly until delivery, and buyers who value the story of a piece.
  • Collection partners and drop-off hosts — neighbourhood shops, societies and small operators — who want their spot on the map and a record of every visit.
  • Buyers looking for one-off pieces with a known origin, paid partly in points they earned themselves.

Who builds it

Re-bin is built and run by a small independent team in India: recyclers who have sorted material by hand, upcyclers who sell what they make, and software people who wanted a recycling app that shows its work instead of asking for faith. The same people review listings, answer support mail, and decide what gets built next.

That is also why the product is deliberately plain about its limits: what has been verified, what is still pending, and where a piece came from. If something looks wrong, the contact page reaches a human, not a ticket queue.
